Container Type & Specifications
DRY CONTAINER
Dry Container is also the most common container for transporting general goods that does not require temperature control other than liquid goods. There are two doors at one end of the front or rear direction, and each door can be opened and closed about 270 degrees. As the Dry Cargo is stuffed, it is wrapped with NEOPRENE (a type of synthetic rubber) around the door to protect it from rain and wind.
REEFER CONTAINER, FROZEN PRODUCTS CONTAINER
For large scale of international containers, there are usually two types of container as external cooling system container and built-in cooling system container depending on the installation method of the cooling system which preserves the small temperature for commission by using cooling system. Frozen containers that are loaded into the container may be heated by operating a unit to control the temperature from + 26 ℃ to 28 ℃, but power supply is required to continue cooling during transportation. The cooling system has a water-cooled and air-cooled type, so if reefer container is on the deck, heat is released into the atmosphere by air, and if window is closed, the cooling water is generated by heat. As such, reefer containers require special devices and may not be piled-up except for the limited space.
OPEN TOP CONTAINER
A container suitable for carrying heavy goods such as machinery, steel products, and plate glass, covered with canvas covers to open the ceiling and It is characterized by the use of a crane when loading and unloading the cargoes, and the possibility of unloading at the top of a container. SPREADER BOW is usually installed to prevent reduction in strength as there is no ceiling.
FLAT RACK CONTAINER
It is called by PLATFORM CONTAINER, The ceiling and side walls of Dry Container may even be removed and pasted back and forth between the Western side walls, making them a column only at the bottom and in four corners and features include to load and unload the cargoes from left and right as well as front and rear including from the top to back. It is suitable for carrying heavy and steady goods, such as machinery, steel, and wood, and is capable of unloading with forklift trucks smoothly.
TANK CONTAINER
It is a container that has been specially made of indigenous liquid containers, such as liquor and oil and chemical products in order to lay down in the same way as a marine transport container for liquid goods. Tank Container is used in the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid goods and there are also types of equipment attached to heat up.
OPEN SIDED CONTAINER
As containers that have opened their sides to enable side access for shipping and unloading, it is common to impose surcharge on the ocean freight charge in case of use this container.
